Alfonso Ayala III Volunteer Relations Intern
Alfonso Ayala II is a political science and sociology junior at Arizona State University and a member of the ASU Barrett Honors College. Alfonso's dream is to help restore faith and hope to those who have lost it in the face of adversity; he hopes to start a nonprofit organization to work toward that goal. Alfonso is a Resident Assistant for one of the ASU residence halls as well as a member and former vice president of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He has previously worked as an intern for the Arizona Public Interest Research Group. For the spring semester Alfonso will be serving YRC as the volunteer relations intern.
Ben Wood-Isenberg Program Intern
Ben Wood-Isenberg is a biology and society freshman at Arizona State University and a member of the ASU Barrett Honors College. Ben wants to start a nonprofit health organization that helps kids. While a senior in high school, Ben organized Save Darfur: Rally to Stop Genocide, which drew 600 participants. He also established and directed Tucson Save Darfur Coalition and worked as an organizational leadership intern for the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona. For the spring semester Ben will be serving YRC as the program intern.
Nicole Stewart Publications-Writing Intern
Nicole Stewart is a journalism sophomore at Arizona State University and a member of the ASU Barrett Honors College. Nicole dreams of making a positive impact on generations of people by writing for magazines and other print mediums. A Printers Devil Award Winner, Nicole mentors an underprivileged elementary student through ASU's Talent Match program and is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma/Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Societies. While in high school, she worked as editor-in-chief of the yearbook. For the spring semester, Nicole will be serving YRC as the publications-writing intern.
Amy Thornton Operations Intern
Amy Thornton is a dance freshman at Arizona State University and a member of the ASU Barrett Honors College. Amy has a dream of starting a nonprofit dance company. In pursuit of her dream, she has served as head intern for the Hope Stone/Pink Ribbons Project in Houston, Texas, worked as an assistant dance instructor at the Houston School of Dance and Musical Theater, and worked as an assistant speech and debate instructor for a Houston middle school. For the spring semester she will be serving YRC as the operations intern.
