During the 2005-2006 school year, Youth Re:Action Corps
launched a successful pilot program in Arizona at four sites in the
Mesa Public School District.
Corps Team Members involved in the pilot program truly molded
what will soon be a global movement of young people working to change
the world. The Corps projects ranged from rallying City Council to
change a dangerous traffic signal near their high school, to rebuilding
a park for an apartment complex that houses over 800 children with
single mothers, to supporting a Silent Friends program to provide
services to peers in need of assistance, to launching a health and
wellness day to engage community members that lack insurance in a free
day of health care.
The organization is excited to announce that additional Corps Teams will be forming in select cities this fall!
