Our Purpose

ImageMany say that there is an obligation to educate America's youth about the international community and inspire them to take action and create change; to date; no initiative has moved forward to fulfill such a request.

In a recent study conducted by the National Geographic Society, Americans age 18-24, when given a map and asked to identify the following areas:

  • 87 percent could not find Iraq
  • 76 percent could not find Saudi Arabia
  • 11 percent could not find the United States

Our conclusion: This is not a failure of the students; it is an opportunity to develop effective ways to engage young people in the global community. We must educate students about the global community before we can expect them to change it.
